I attended the Workers of Colour/Aboriginal workshop at the Ontario Federation of Labour. There I met someone who knew a contact who had reciept of an email sent to Mr. Heaton (and others) from Mike Allen, the Employment Equity Rep at Chrysler, claiming that the appointment of Phyllis Foster was legal and equitable. An email that is full of lies, the most important of which is that unionized employees must first exhaust in-house procedures before applying to the Ontario Human Rights Commission. This is just not true and reveals how CAW Human Rights trained personnel deny their members rights. Check with the Commission yourself and discover the truth.
That contact just forwarded the email to me along with one in which Leon Rideout admits contacting us via email. I am posting them here for your information;

To Whom it may concern;
Mr Heaton was informed today by the Employment Equity representative at the Brampton assembly plant that the EAP appointment was done in a fair and equitable manner and he can appeal the decision to the appointment selection committee. Michael Heaton was also instructed that he must Exhaust all local and National resource's first before he can processed any where else with his complaint.
