Old vendettas

I came back to Canada early this year to fetch my son, sell my house, attend wedding before returning to India where I have a media/communications business.
Joining old union friends for drinks, (At a strip club of course, Union guys always meet in strip clubs) I have discovered a local area union is pursuing old vendettas against a man who I heard about when I was still in Canada in 1997.
When I enquired further, I discovered some horrible things. I feel sure you will think it is horrible too, for example harassing members who have just had a death in their families.
Politics they call it, just politics........
You need a Union to do this?
It involves huge amounts of jealousy, racism and fixed elections.
The system of "time-in-lieu" that suddenly changed into a million dollar cost over-run.
Rumours of gambling! Time in lieu paid to a select member or two from the election committee!!
It involves trading two people of colour. A mild mannered, polite, shy one for a person who has self respect, dignity and is articulate.
It has pettiness and micro-managed vindictiveness on a scale you will not believe. Decades old vandettas.
It involves a system of "Union Royalty" that protects itself from outsiders.
We will reveal people who screw other CAW members to protect the turf for their partners who are working elsewhere in the Union movement.
It will give you an insight about who is really keeping a lot of qualified people from getting work. Unions or companies!


It will reveal the dark underbelly of Canadian Unionism.
