Again I recieved a letter from my Union friends. They are still very very angry that Leons lackey tried to con them to Uncle Tom Mr. Heaton. I will publish letter seperately, but first I want to remind you. You know that Joe Public does not understand unions, does not support bailouts for Auto Companies and wants autoworkers to take concessions.
Your CAW leaders should also know this. They MUST know this.
Why then would Leon and his pals carry on a 10 year old vendetta against Mr. Heaton at this time of all times, when CAW is begging for handouts for the Auto companies?
What Mr. Heaton did 10 years back was his duty as a Trustee. He did not do it alone. There were 3 Trustees and they agreed that the Executive Board member who mis-spent Union dues, should pay that money back to the Local. Nothing more. Nothing less.
That decision set off an extreme reaction among the senior leadership of Local 1285 and in the Brampton Committee.
First thing Leon and his pals on the committee did was to remove Mr. Heaton from the Political Action Committee, via what Mr. Heaton calls the CEP, or Continuous Election Process.
They replaced him with the son of a Union official, Jim Fitzgerald, who was a DUD, who was forced to resign after he embarrassed the CAW and the Local.
Next, Vince, Leon and the boys replaced Mr. Heaton from the National office from a job he was supposed to get and replaced him with Denise Brown, who is also a DUD! She was removed from various assignments, but kept on staff. How many more DUDs are at the National office nobody knows. So many DUDs there-Nobody to fight for the workers.
Are they taking concessions? No way.
They want the ordinary worker to take concessions and leave the base rate alone, so they don't have to take concessions.
That is why we call this blog-No Dues For Duds.
Who pays?.......YOU pay!!
